Thai Intelligent Film (TIF) is a light modulating material comprised of droplets of liquid crystal uniformly dispersed in a transparency or translucency, flexible plastic film.   

TIF กระจกอัจฉริยะ ฟิล์มอัจฉริยะ Smart Film, ทำงานโดยใช้หลักการกระจายตัวของหยดของเหลวคริสตัล ในลักษณะที่ห่อหุ้มโดยโพลีเมอร์ โดยมีแผ่นฟิล์มประกบอยู่ 2 ด้าน ขณะที่ไม่มีการปล่อยกระแสไฟฟ้าเข้าไป (ปิดสวิตซ์) ของเหลวคริสตัลเรียงตัวกันอยู่กระจัดกระจาย ทำให้เกิดสภาวะ ทึบ

ในขณะที่มีการปล่อยกระแสไฟฟ้าเข้าไป (เปิดสวิตซ์) ของเหลวคริสตัลจะเกิดการเรียงตัวกันเป็นแนวขนานกับแนวกระแสไฟฟ้า ทำให้แสงผ่านได้ เกิดสภาวะ ใส ขึ้น

Thai Intelligent Film, Smart Film, operate on the principle of electrically controlled light scattering. They consist of liquid crystal droplets surrounded by polymer mixture sandwiched between two pieces of conducting film. When no electricity is applied, the liquid crystal droplets are randomly oriented, creating an opaque state. When electricity is applied, the liquid crystals aline parallel to the electric field and light passes through, creating a transparent state.

Self-adhesive PDLC Film can be pasted to the glass directly, transparent when power on, frosted when power off, meet both requirements of glass penetration and privacy. Even without electricity, glass in the frosted state, lighting is perfectly worked.
